HISTORY

Anchor 1

The band was formed in 2007 by bassist Jacek Wołoszczuk (ex.Vox Interium, Heretique) and drummer Piotr Kurzbauer (ex.Faded Crocus). Squad was completed by guitarist Filip Włodarski (ex.Bizarrer) and singer Łukasz Krauze.  In this time firsts parts of  ballad „We can't live alone” and much more dynamic „Inside the void” were occured.  Few weeks later the band were completed by guitarist Rafał Cieślak, who brought much of experience, magic solos and more progressive sounds. It effected a mix of classic but interesting „Hard & Heavy” style. After few months Łukasz left the band and was replaced by Rafał „Mr.Devil” Gowin.

 

On 17th January 2010 band started studio session were they recorded seven tracks emited as „R.I.S”. Without wasting time, through the record session pauses and making new songs band debuted on 15th January 2010 in Rock'a Club (Gliwice) supporting legendary Proletaryat. The band starts touring. On 22nd April 2010 Stay Heavy appears before another famous band „TSA”.

 

Unfortunetlely 17th May 2010 Filip decided to leave the band. On 18th August 2010 band had the first play with the new guitarist – Grzegorz „Celej” Celejewski. At the end of 2010 „Rest In Sorrow” was used as a soundtrack in a spot of the newest polish combat vehicle called „Anders”.  On 17th June 2011 Stay Heavy supperted Jelonek in Zabrze.  26th Jule of the same year „Rest In Sorrow” lands on CD SILESIAN BUTCHERS vol. 2. Unfortunetlety in August 2012 happened another personal change- band was left by Mr.Devil. From November 2012 the position of singer is occupied by Michał Schuder.

 

At the turn of 2013 and 2014 Stay Heavy started mini tour „With&Stay 2013/2014” together with friend from Gliwice's legend WITH. As part of this tour bands performed seven concerts in Gliwice, Katowice, Pszczyna, Tarnowskie Góry, Będzin, Żory and Żagań, where WITH and Stay Heavy supperted MECH. 7th June band performed open air concert at the Nissan Patrol Rally in Wrocław.

At the begin of 2014 Piotr Kurzbauer decided to leave the band. Autamatically Stay Heavy stops function and finally problems with finding a new drummer and with agreement about it's searching causes suspenion of activity.

 

24th March 2015 band started playing with a new drummer. Ipso facto Piotr Kurzbauer were replaced by Szymon Kalyciok, and the band resumed activity but without Rafał Cieślak. That decisied was caused by different opinions about future of the band. Officialy on 1st September 2015 Jacek Herda becomes a new guitarist. At the begining of 2016  first performances were planed and band started working at new material.
